2010 Automania - Sioux Falls SD
Automania is becoming known as the largest automotive car show hot rod show in the state of SD. 2010 Automania moved from a Wednesday night show downtown to the fairgrounds and a whole weekend of events, with the main car show being on Saturday. So there were hurdles for Automania to overcome but the worst hurdle was the w e a t h e r and when I say weather I mean RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. Nothing to put a big damper on things then bad weather because no hot rodder wants his baby out in bad weather. But with that said there were still allot of cars, vendors and people that ventured out.
This was the debut of HardCore Speed Shop.com so it was a special day for us. We were able to show off the newly build #102 Stanleybuilt Rat Rod and our clothing line.
BIGGEST NEWS OF THE DAY! George Barris the very famous Hollywood car builder know as the "King of the Customizers" was the special guest for Automania. As Mr. Barris was driving around on the golf cart he drove the HC booth, stopped, backed up and pulled over, got off the cart and walked over to the HardCore Speed Shop booth. He asked "Who built this truck?" and I responded with well my dad and I did. He said he just wanted to stop and tell me how cool he thought this truck was. The king of the customizers stopped at my booth to comment on how cool he thought my rat rod looked. I was speechless.......but we talked a little more, was able to take some pictures with him and before he left he bought a HardCore T-Shirt. Very very exciting for us!!!!!
